BHITARKANIKA & SIMLIPAL TOUR

In our 4N/5D Bhitarkanika and Simlipal tour package, we will guide you to places that are of immense importance, i.e - places where you can seek solace, delve into natural wonder and even study or explore the wild species. During this tour, our guided itinerary will take you around Odisha’s best treasured places like Ratnagiri, Udayagiri, Lalitgiri where you can visit Stupas and Buddhist Monasteries. A countryside boat cruise with a view of the Ramsar site will be organized. Our itinerary will guide you to Bhitarkanika National Park/Bird Sanctuary where you can trek to the ancient hunting tower and a cruise to different creeks on a boat, you may as well get a chance to see crocodiles. Keeping in mind for those who like history, art and culture, our itinerary also include a visit to the Bhitarkanika Museum and Project Area and in the evening, a visit to Jagannath temple to partake in the live aarti darshan is also a riveting experience. Also, this tour package will take you to Similipal where a visit to Similipal Tiger Reserve and Crocodile Breeding Farm will be organized. Later a visit to two beautiful waterfalls like Barehipani and Joranda and a jungle safari around the tiger reserve as well as in the chahala zone.

Simlipal national park, Baripada Overview

A beautiful and scenic town in Orissa in the area of Marurbhan is Simlipal which once used to be a hunting ground for the rulers of Marurbhanj. The area today has the largest wildlife sanctuaries of India and is also considered as one of the main tiger project in India. The area of Simlipal is enriched with dense forests, striking meadows, startling waterfalls and beautiful rivers. Simlipal reserve is blessed with great bio-diversity and huge varieties of faunas with the environment of cool breeze emerging out of the dense forests. The lushly atmosphere of Simlipal makes it the perfect location for forest camping.

Simplipal Reserve is the safest paradise for a large variety of wildlife creatures which include Leopard, Gaur, Elephant, Langur, Barking and Spotted Deer, Sloth Bear Mongoose, Flying Squirrel, Porcupine, Turtle, Monitor Lizard, Python, Sambar, Pangolin, Crocodile and Four horned Antelope. Around 230 species of birds like the Grey Hornbill, Indian Pied Hornbill, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Indian Trogon, Red Jungle Fowl, Hill Mynah, Peafowl, Alexandrine Parakeet, and Crested Serpent Eagle can be seen here. Also known as Simlipal Elephant Reserve, it is a complete ecosystem with forest vegetation along with the adjoining Santhal tribal settlements.

Day 1:  BHUBANESWAR – BHITARKANIKA

As you arrive at Bhubaneswar Railway Station / Airport, our representative will guide you the selected hotel in Bhitarkanika. On the way, you can visit Buddhist Monasteries and Stupas in Ratnagiri, Udayagiri and Lalitgiri. After checking-in and savouring lunch at the Resort, a cruise to Kali Bhanja Diha Island will be organized. A countryside boat that is approved by Wildlife Department will tour you around offering a panoramic view of the Ramsar area. Later, in the evening, spend some time around the campfire followed by dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

Day 2: BHITARKANIKA

The next day after breakfast, visit the Bird Sanctuary and also trek to the hunting tower which was once the favourite place to hunt by the Ancient King. You can also cruise to different creeks on a boat that is approved by Wildlife Department. Through this, you may get a chance to see crocodiles. Also, visit the Museum and Project Area followed by a lunch. In the late afternoon, visit Jagannath temple and witness the live aarti darshan. This will be followed by dinner near the campfire. Overnight at Resort in Bhitarkanika.

Day 3: BHITARKANIKA – SIMLIPAL

On the 3rd day, checkout from the hotel in Bhubaneswar after breakfast and visit the Similipal Tiger Reserve. Check-in at the accommodation and proceed for lunch. Later go for a nature walk and study at the herbal nursery and also visit the Crocodile Breeding Farm. After sightseeing, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: SIMILIPAL

After early breakfast, head towards two beautiful waterfalls - Barehipani and Joranda. You can also go for a Jungle Safari around the reserve. Later, a visit to Chahala Zone will follow. Overnight stay at the hotel in Similipal.

Day 5: SIMILIPAL – BALASORE / BHUBANESWAR RAILWAY STATION

On the last day, after breakfast checkout from the hotel and drive to Bhubaneswar Airport/ Railway Station for onward journey.

Day 6: Reach At Howrah / Airport.
